sites, very informative, in particular the differences between
Orthodox and Progressive Judiasm. My interest is based on
an interest in religious beliefs and my own Jewish ancestory

Read Rabbi Apple's letter and the letter about Tu B'shvat. For last Tu
B'shvat we organised a small gathering and tree planting in Lower Hutt near the
Dowse Art Museum where the "Children of the Holocaust" exhibition of
children's drawings from Terezin (lent by the Prague Jewish Museum) was showing.
The municipality donated an olive tree which was planted by a Jewish boy and a
Kiwi boy. The tree is doing well, and the exhibition has since been on in other
centres (now in Christchurch) and will continue in New Zealand for
another year. Although it usually comes in the school holidays, an antipodean
celebration of Tu B'shvat is well worthwhile. | |

they come to Milwaukee this year. I am also trying to find family I just
discover since my father died and I was going through some of his papers. I
have a returned letter from Alexander Kleiner from Waverly, NSW from 1988.
Everyone was killed except my father and a cousin in WW2. It would be wonderful
to find these relatives or they decendents. Any suggestions would be welcome. I
left a message on the Bullentin board of the Geneolgy society but who knows.
